Chris "Kippy" Gray was my Crew Chief. He was truly a "Renaissance Man" and was liked and respected by everyone. The day I left for Christmas leave in 1969, he was shot down and killed along with Tad Yonika and Barry Kaletta while flying in an OH-6A. I didn't find out he was dead until I came back in January, and I never really got closure. I met his dad Wayne, brother Sandy and twin sister Kitty many years later and I think that has helped all of us. He is never out of my thoughts and is deeply missed.
