PFC CHARLES DAVID HOFFMAN
 |

A tragic day!PFC Charles David Hoffman, Captain's RTO (Radio Telephone Operator) , died alongside his commander and one of our M60 machinegunners. It was a tragic day for Charlie Company, 1/327th Inf, 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division. A brigadier general was lifted in and spent the night with our troops - a gesture that, in my tour with our storied division, went unparalled. Charles had not been in-country as long as many of us, but was well-respected and an excellent RTO.
If PFC Hoffman has family living yet, I would consider it an honor to relay more information.
