The database page for Charles Lee King
I first met Charlie in Jump School in 1967. We both would speculate about where we'd be assigned afterwards. Charlie of course hoped for Bragg, being from NC and I for Campbell being from TN. We both were sent to the 118th MP Company, part of the 18th Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg. I remember Charlie getting married and living off base afterwards. I can only recall one visit to him and his wife. If I remember correctly they were expecting their first child. Then we were sent to Fort Campbell on a levy for the 101st. I remember Charlie at some time just about every week. I still miss him.
