On 03 Feb 1968 C Company, 1/12th Infantry, lost four men to enemy mortar fire:
  • SP4 Leon Hamner, Porterville, MS;
  • SP4 Joseph Santos, Sacramento, CA;
  • PFC Russell D. Bryant, Fort Polk, LA; and
  • PFC David L. Rickels, Breckenridge, TX.
