The Bivouac of the Dead,
The muffled drum's sad roll has beat He was a great father, a devoted husband and a loyal American. He taught me courage, integrity and respect most of all. He had a wife and three daughters when he left us. Because of the Military we traveled a lot. He taught me how to tell the make of the passing cars by the front grill.
This was a lot of fun and I became very good at it.

A Note from The Virtual WallAlthough the coding on Warrant Officer Urban's casualty record implies that he died in a helicopter crash, he did not. He was hit by ground fire while in flight and died before the Huey could get him to medical aid. The Huey did not crash, and there were no other known injuries among the aircrew. The aircraft side number is not known. |
The point-of-contact for this memorial is his daughter, Lesly Adele Urban Mahnke sinderbare2@comcast.net |
