03 Dec 2006 Tommy was the type of guy you were proud to call a friend. He always wanted to be a U.S. Marine and always had a big smile on his face. He is one of the 19 from Dearborn County in Indiana who was honored in 2002 when the MOVING WALL came to town. A Note from The Virtual Wall At the beginning of March 1967 the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines, was conducting a battalion sweep between Con Thien and Cam Lo. On 02 March India Co, 3/3rd Marines, lost two men - LCpl Thomas G. Denning and Pfc Paul L. Carter of Maxville, Florida. At almost the same time and only a half mile or so distant Lima 3/3 uncovered a large base camp.
